Lawyers from the Legal Service plead before the courts, but they favour out-of-court solutions to labour relations issues first and foremost. The Service provides expert advice to help resolve issues through healthy labour relations, and supports negotiation and mobilization through advocacy and in an advisory role. It also monitors legislation introduced in Québec’s National Assembly and the House of Commons of Canada.
